Return to Quito.

Cotopaxi by Bike
See Ecuador from new heights on this bike tour far above sea level! After a two hour drive to 3800 meters, you’ll begin the thrilling, yet easy, descent through the beautiful ecosystem to the northernmost entrance of the Cotopaxi National Park. The trail mostly consists of a series of dirt paths along 10km (about 6.2 miles) of incredible landscapes of the “Avenue of the Volcanoes.” take in spectacular views along the way, including an amazing glacier lagoon between the Cotopaxi and Rumiñahui volcanoes. We will bike close to the second highest active volcano in the world! If we’re lucky, you may even see some activity. Please note: It is highly recommended to acclimate around 3000m in elevation at least two days prior to the tour. It is recommended to have some mountain biking experience in off-road routes in order to know how to control the bicycle in difficult terrains.
