Cultural Immersion - Indigenous Community
6 hours (approx.)
The tour starts at 10:30 am departing from the Red Frog resort pier. There we will head towards the east of the Island of Bastimentos, to enter the mangroves and forests of Quebrada de Sal or Salt Creek, where is located some of the indigenous communities of the ethnic group of Ngobe Bugle that despite not counting without great resources has been organized to participate in tourism, offering the visitor a pleasant experience of cultural exchange. The community is very friendly, they offer food services sometimes, they sell crafts, and they guide the tour themselves.
Bat Cave Tour
1 Hour (approx.)
The Tour begins at 3 pm leaving the dock of the Red Frog Resort. Take a boat ride in a tunnel of trees and mangroves, natural environment of various tropical birds, sloths and other species that inhabit the island. The walk to the caves is about 15 minutes approx. A local guide will guide us inside the cave. Once in the cave, we will find a lake that increases in depth as we progress inside the cave. There you can see bats, spiders, among other species. On the way out, we return on the same way untill the Justinian restaurant , one of the inhabitants of the Ngobe Indian community.
